worst food in cupboard is cheez-it's...

They are not good for any of us but they are lurking in the cupboard? why?

because even against my better judgement I let the kids and hubby guilt me into buying the box at costco...then I say I am only going to eat 1 serving size and always end up eating too many.....

Worst food in the pantry....Aunt Jemima Buttermilk Pancake Mix!

Usually I eat whole wheat pancakes if at all but there are times when I crave light fluffy buttery buttermilk pancakes drenched in maple syrup (though I keep it sugar free) and I succumb...sighhhh...

My worst food is Cheeze-it Party Mix.

Oh my GOD that stuff is good. I always pour out a serving in a bowl because I will eat wayy to much, but I usually end up going back and getting another serving!

I won't be buying it this grocery trip. :(

I've done a thorough search of my pantry and realized that it's me who is the bad thing in there. I tend to keep healthy foods in my home. I've been Type1 for over 36 years and I have two young kids so I don't keep "bad" foods. My problem is that I overindulge! I know portion control. I know that a cup is "about" the size of my fist, a tablespoon is "about" the size of my thumb... etc... etc..., but I realized this week that it's amazing how my portions look more like body parts from the HULK! I've now pulled out my measuring cups and spoons and I'm using them!

I'm the mother of seven kidliens. I don't keep junk foods around. I know my biggest problem is keeping up with a large household, cooking big meals, overindluging in the evening, eating once a day in the evening, and no breakfast. We don't eat chips, drink pop or hit fast food joints. Not getting enough exercise for the food I do eat in a day is the problem. House cleaning, taking care of kids and meetings do not give me enough exercise.

But if I had to pick my worst food enemy it would be sugar. Sugar in tea. When I give up the sweetened tea, I get a ginormous headache and the shakes.
